Renewal works will be undertaken on the swimming pool complex including concourse area and slide access renewal works, leisure pool painting and amenities upgrade.
Work is scheduled to commence Monday 19 April 2021 and expected to be completed on Saturday 10 July 2021, weather permitting.
During this period the 50m pool and waterslide pools will be unavailable. The Learn to Swim Pool will be closed for four weeks from Friday 11 June 2021 and reopen Saturday the 10 July 2021.

Project updates - Albany Creek Leisure Centre

The programs pool will be operational Wednesday 11 August 2021 from 5:30 AM.
The 50 metre pool will be operational Saturday 14 August from 6:00 AM.

Unforeseen subsidence issues have been identified during pool concourse renewal works at the Albany Creek Leisure Centre. Significant rectification works are currently being undertaken which will delay the reopening of all pools until 27 July (from 10 July). Fitness facilities remain fully operational with temporary amenities remaining in place during this time.
Council apologises for the delay caused by the additional works required to safely reinstate the concourse around the pools.
5 July 2021
Given the unforeseen delays to the refurbishment works at the Albany Creek Leisure Centre, Council has been able to bring forward painting works in the warm water program pool scheduled for this December.
Subject to weather delays, Council anticipates that the pool painting works can be completed within the revised 27 July reopening date for all pools.
Council again thanks the facility users for their patience and look forward to a significantly improved facility.
