Council is recommencing the construction works for the William Berry Drive project.
This is the third and final stage. These works aim to improve safety and traffic flow for all road users, pedestrians and cyclists around the Morayfield Shopping Centre precinct.
It will help deliver a better road network to support the needs of our community as our city continues to grow. It will also provide greater access to the many businesses within the commercial precinct.
Overview of works
Based on learnings from Stage 2, we have split the work into 2 stages (Part A and B). This is to enable partial use of the roundabout during construction.
Detours will be in place for motorists and pedestrians as required around the site as per the approved traffic management plan.
Construction works include:
Part A
Part A includes Leda Boulevard roundabout and the remaining northern section of William Berry Drive.
Work will be undertaken at night to minimise disruption to motorists and pedestrians. They are scheduled to be completed by mid-2026, weather permitting.
Part B
Following the completion of Part A, Part B will include the eastern section of William Berry Drive.
Construction will be sequenced to minimise the impact on nearby businesses. This will take approximately 10 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
