Disability Action Week

Disability action week

Disability Action Week is held each year and acknowledges the important and varied contributions people living with a disability make to our community. This year, celebrations will be held from 5 to 11 December with the theme 'workforce diversity – open up to opportunity.'

It is estimated that almost one in five residents in the Moreton Bay Region has a disability. With disability touching the lives of most residents in some way, Disability Action Week provides opportunities to raise awareness of disability issues and improve access and inclusion throughout the wider community.

Council proudly supports activities that celebrate Disability Action Week, find out more about Community grants.
