What is Sport4All?

Sport4All is an award‑winning inclusive education program founded by former Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott.

It's a national partnership between the Federal Government, the Australian Sports Commission, and Get Skilled Access.

The program is delivered by people with disabilities and lived experience. This strengthens inclusivity and supports positive change in grassroots sport.

Sport4All is funded by the Australian Government via the Australian Sports Commission.

Using a three‑step capability program, it supports clubs and schools to include people with disability in all aspects of sport. Through this approach, Sport4All increases opportunities for participation.

What is the Inclusion Coach role?

The role of the inclusion coach is to support people with disabilities to access sport and active recreation. This work supports the lead‑up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

An inclusion coach is embedded within Council’s sport and recreation team. They act as Council's advocate for inclusive sport. Their goal is to create welcoming spaces where everyone can take part.

A key focus is increasing opportunities for people with disability in community and school sport. Through the inclusion coach, local sporting clubs and schools receive practical support.

They learn how to include people with disability in ways that work for their organisation. This includes building skills, confidence, and understanding.

Participation may include playing sport, volunteering, coaching, or supporting activities behind the scenes.

The program also helps people with disabilities learn about what is available to them. This could mean trying a new sport or contributing in other meaningful ways.
