Clean Up Australia Day

Over one million Australians volunteer for Clean Up Australia Day in March each year.

You can register or join a clean-up site with family, friends and colleagues.

Community groups and organisations, schools, early learning centres and businesses can create a clean up. Site supervisors will get a free kit which contains bags, gloves, information and promotional materials.

Reduce the amount of single-use face masks, takeaway coffee cups and food packaging littering our footpaths, parks and beaches. By volunteering, you will raise awareness of littering and illegal dumping and the impact it has on our environment.

Together we can keep City of Moreton Bay a beautiful place to live, work and play.

“Our environment is facing pressure unlike ever before. As all Australians know, over the past two years, we’ve seen severe bushfires, cyclones and floods, and increased pressures on our biodiversity and an ever-growing volume of waste which leaks into our natural and marine environment. Australians have a heightened focus on the environment but often feel frustrated whether they can make an impact,” Pip Kiernan, Chair of Clean Up Australia.
