City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Council's customer service centres will be closed from 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 December, reopening on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 8:30 AM.

Moreton Bay ratepayers will receive a new look rate notice in their mailbox or email inbox this April.
The new notice seeks to improve the level of information for ratepayers by featuring detailed charge breakdowns and account history.
