With more than 77,000 residents aged 12 to 24, young people play a significant role in shaping the City’s vibrant and diverse community.

Mayor Peter Flannery said Queensland Youth Week is an opportunity to acknowledge the talents, creativity and contributions of local young people.

“Queensland Youth Week allows us to celebrate the important role young people play in our community.

“They are the leaders of tomorrow, and it’s important we support them by providing opportunities to learn, grow and thrive right here in Moreton Bay,” he said.

Young residents are encouraged to get involved in the week’s activities, including the Moreton Youth Fishing Competition and the Youth Week Online Song Competition, with a range of free or low cost activities, competitions and prizes on offer.
