Dayboro Skate Park upgrade

Design concept of the Dayboro Skate park showing skate bowls and shelters.

As part of a strategic maintenance and renewal program, we're investing in 23 skate park facilities across our city, including Dayboro Skate Park. The upgrades to the skate park are part of wider upgrades to enhance the heart of Dayboro.

The new skate park will cater to skaters and riders of all ages and skill levels. The upgrade aims to create opportunities for healthy and active lifestyles. It will also encourage social interaction and connection in the local community.

What’s included in the upgrade

The new skate park design reflects what we heard during the community consultation and the historic themes of Dayboro township and its community. Some skateable elements pay tribute to Dayboro’s dairy and pineapple industries.

The new design includes a mini pool-style bowl and a flowy street area laid out in a drain-style arrangement. It also supports skill progression with various ramp sizes. For beginners, there will be easy mellow banks, a mogul, and small quarter pipes to practice on. Intermediate and advanced riders can challenge themselves with the classic street-style rail and ledge obstacles.

Construction on the skate park is scheduled to commence mid-year and be completed by the end of January 2026, pending weather and unforeseen circumstances. Works will occur between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Half the car park will be closed during the works.
