From April 2025, Council will start stormwater drainage upgrade works along Cox Street, Duffield Road, and Oxley Avenue in Margate. These upgrades also include the creation of a floodway through 63 Duffield Road.
This project is part of a wider infrastructure initiative. The initiative aims to improve stormwater management and reduce the risk of flooding in the area. This ensures that the stormwater network can handle future development. In particular, within the drainage investigation area 6 (Cox Street).
We understand that construction can cause disruptions. We aim to complete the works as quick as possible to minimise any inconvenience.
During the works, there may be temporary changes to traffic flow, access to properties, and some noise.
