Capestone Lake pedestrian link

Council supports healthy, active lifestyles. We do this by investing in safe, efficient and reliable integrated transport networks across City of Moreton Bay.

This project will complete the off-road loop of Capestone Lake for pedestrians and cyclists.

Community benefits

With new lighting and signage, the works aim to improve pedestrian safety and navigation. They remove the need to travel around the shopping village to get to Capestone Boulevard. This saves time and makes commuting by foot or bike quicker and more convenient.

Key features

Project works include:

  • a new 50 metre DDA-compliant pedestrian bridge
  • lighting
  • landscaping
  • wayfinding signage
  • offset tree planting.

Funding support

The Queensland Government’s South East Queensland Community Stimulus Program is funding this project.
