You can update your pet registration details at any time by selecting from the following:

Update your details

I no longer have a pet

If your pet has passed away, or you have rehomed your pet, advising Council of this change will ensure that you do not receive any future renewal or reminder notices for this animal.

I no longer have a pet

My pet is now desexed

If your pet has been desexed since the initial registration you may be eligible for a reduced renewal fee.

A copy of your pet’s desexing certificate or a letter from a vet confirming your pet is desexed MUST be uploaded in the ‘Attachments’ section when you lodge your request below.

Apply pension concession to my pet registration

If you are in receipt of a pension and are the owner of a registered desexed animal, you may be eligible for a reduced renewal fee.

As a pensioner, you must hold one of the following cards:

  • blue Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink
  • blue Pensioner Concession Card issued by Veterans' Affairs
  • Repatriation Health Card - for all conditions/TPI - (Gold card) issued by Veterans' Affairs.

A copy of your pension card MUST be uploaded in the ‘Attachments’ section when you lodge your request below. 

Note: Pension concession for animal renewal is only available for desexed pets where proof is provided and cannot be applied to animals that are not desexed.

Update my pet's breed, colour or age

If your renewal notice has any incorrect details for your pet such as breed, colour or age, you can update Council's record.

Update pet details

Request a new tag

Council's animal registration tags are issued as lifetime tags at time of registration. If your pet's tag gets lost, faded or chewed up and requires replacing, you can request a replacement.

Animal must be currently registered for a replacement tag to be reissued. Registration tag will be posted to registered person within 10 business days of request.
