Samford Community Centre - Boardroom

Samford Community Centre is a large facility located just outside Samford Village and next door to the Samford Primary School. The venue backs onto peaceful bushland and can host large events or indoor activities.

The facility includes a hall with a stage and a boardroom, which can be hired separately or together.

Boardroom

The carpeted boardroom is set up with a table and chairs and is a self-service model: all hirers are responsible for set-up / pack-down and cleaning of the venue before the conclusion of the hire.

The boardroom has a capacity of 10 people.

Accessibility

Samford Community Centre has an accessible entry and designated accessible parking bay close to the front door.

The amenities include an accessible toilet.

Please inspect the venue prior to booking to ensure the facility meets your accessibility requirements.

Bookings

The venue is available for hire between 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight).

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

Booking requests are required at least five days prior to the requested hire date.
A minimum of one hour hire applies to all bookings.
Council may charge a refundable security bond to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

Review site induction program and complete registration. Note the reference number provided. You will need this number to complete your application.

All hirers are required to complete an online venue induction prior to their booking. Inductions are current for 12 months.

Restrictions

Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight.
Equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day, or by arrangement with Hall Management.
Smoking is not permitted in, or within 5 metres of, Council venues, except for designated smoking areas.
The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machine is prohibited.
Decorative items such as glitter, rice, rose petals, sand or confetti is not permitted.
Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks.
Animals with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without Council approval.

Venue inspections

Hall Management provide prospective hirers the opportunity to view the hall prior to booking. Inspections are by appointment only and depend upon the availability of the venue.
