William Berry Drive – Road rehabilitation project - Stage 3B

Roads project

Council will start work on the final stage of William Berry Drive upgrades. Work is expected to start from mid-late 2026 depending on weather.

Stage 3B finishes the upgrades to make the road safer and improve traffic flow. This stage includes stormwater system upgrades and road resurfacing works on the eastern side of William Berry Drive. 

Overview of works 

As part of this stage, Council will complete the following works:

  • removal and replacement of the existing road pavement
  • new stormwater drains and curbs to improve the local stormwater network
  • better drainage to handle more water 

Construction will include controlled closures throughout. Council will provide commercial driveway access for the during the project. The road will be closed to through traffic during construction activities.

Stage 3B will be carried out in phases to minimise the impact on local businesses. Council will take every effort to minimise noise and any other impacts to surrounding businesses.

Work will happen during daytime hours between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Be sure to observe the instructions of work crews and road signage and plan ahead.

The first section (red) represents stage 1 which will span for 7 weeks. The time period will be from mid-May to early July.

The second section (yellow) represents a 4 week period of stage 2. This stage is intended to extend from early July through to early August.

The third and final stage indicated by green will last for 6 weeks from early August to mid September.
