Noise complaints

Aerodromes produce certain levels of aircraft noise. This is from the movement of aircraft on the ground and within the surrounding airspace.

Airservices Australia manages noise from aircraft in the air. It also deals with any complaints or questions about aircraft operations.

To submit a complaint, visit Airservices Australia.

For aircraft noise generated on the ground, submit a Council noise complaint.

Request to land

Visitors must provide full details to Council by the Request to Land / Use facilities form. For touch-and-go operations, you must have prior permission. To learn local requirements, refer to the Redcliffe Aerodrome (YRED) En Route Supplement Australia (ERSA).

Pavement concession

YRED is restricted to a maximum take-off weight of 5700 kilograms, or a maximum aircraft concession number of 4. Before using the aerodrome, any aircraft exceeding either of these parameters must complete a Pavement concession application form.

Vehicle parking

Free short-term public car parking is available in Boomerang Court, the small car park near the terminal.

Parking is also available along the western end of Wirraway Drive, Rothwell.
