Community service organisations may be eligible for a parking permit for a vehicle registered in the organisation's name. These permits support service-related activities and are not issued for general staff parking, or for long-term parking at, or near, the organisation's premises.
Eligibility criteria
A permit may be issued if:
- the permit is required to carry out an activity that aligns with the objectives of the organisation
- the vehicle is registered in the name of the community service organisation
- the vehicle will be parked in an area with a time limit of one hour or more
- the activity takes place on a section of road where:
- parking is regulated by time
- the parked vehicle will not impact the flow of traffic on the road or in the area.
Permit conditions and restrictions
- Permits are valid for 12 months and you will need to reapply at the end of the permit expiry date.
- Permits are not transferable to another vehicle or another person.
- One registered car or motorbike can be nominated for a permit.
- Permits do not guarantee a parking space and are only valid for the nominated address.
- Council reserves the right to limit the number of permits issued.
Applying for a parking permit
When you’re applying for a new permit, follow the steps below.
To apply for a replacement, go directly to Step 4 for in the application process.
The replacement permit will have the same expiry date as the original permit.
