A dynamic lawyer with an impressive track record at one of Asia-Pacific’s top advisory firms will join the team at City of Moreton Bay.

Former Deloitte Chief Transformation Officer – Asia Pacific Risk, Jaella Parker has been appointed as City of Moreton Bay’s Chief Legal Counsel, bringing with her a wealth of experience.

In addition to her most recent role at Deloitte, Mrs Parker’s prior senior roles at the company included Chief Operating Officer and Associate General Counsel for Deloitte’s Asia Pacific Office of General Counsel, where she was a partner.

“This is an exciting opportunity at a pivotal point in time for City of Moreton Bay,” Mrs Parker said.

“I’ve done my best to choose roles within organisations that have a progressive vision and are at the forefront of doing good things – whether that be at a business or community level.

“The leadership team at City of Moreton Bay has a track record of doing just that and as we race towards the Brisbane 2032 Olympics and Paralympics, I’m excited for what the future holds.”

City of Moreton Bay CEO Scott Waters said he was thrilled to have Mrs Parker onboard.

“Jaella brings a wealth of experience in providing business-driven legal advice, developing legal strategy, risk management, and business transformation,” he said.

“Throughout her career she has helped navigate complexity, negotiate outcomes, enable growth and bring business objectives to life. She enjoys working collaboratively to help deliver value for stakeholders.

Mrs Parker will assume her new role on 13 January, replacing Kate Draper who has taken up a new role at Brisbane City Council.
