Creative workshop with artist Zoe Porter
Next date: Thursday, 22 January 2026 | 10:00 AM
to 11:30 AM
Zoe is being commissioned to create new artwork for City of Moreton Bay’s Outdoor Gallery at South Pine Indoor Sports Complex.
Join Zoe for an inspiring workshop where art and community come together.
During the workshop, you’ll explore local native flora and fauna through watercolour and collage.
Guided by Zoe, you’ll create delicate watercolour artworks using stencils of local plants and animals.
You’ll then layer these shapes and patterns to create hybrid small-scale collages.
Each piece will reflect your personal connection to the landscape and the stories it holds.
About the facilitator
Zoe Porter is a Brisbane-based multi-skilled artist. Her practice flows between drawing, painting, installation, sculpture, video, and performance.
Her work explores the space between humans and animals. She creates hybrid forms that speak to transformation, fluid identity, and different ways of being in the world.
Through these shifting figures and dreamlike scenes, Zoe invites us to consider our connection to nature, imagination, and the unseen forces that shape us.
Accessibility
South Pine Indoor Sports Complex has wheelchair access and adult changing facilities. Other participants will be present at the workshop and may be talking to each other. The venue has quieter areas for sensory breaks if required. For more information, email Cultural.Activation@moretonbay.qld.gov.au.
