Lightwood Parklands - Waterside Esplanade

Are you looking for a playful and fun day out with the family? It's time to head to Lightwood's Parklands' Waterside Esplanade adventure park!

There's a towering ocean-themed kids' playground, which is an exciting feature for little climbers. If they make it to the top, there's a slippery slide as a reward for their climb. Other play equipment includes low-lying climbing nets, swing sets, and more!

Children can also bring their scooters to test out the pump track. With its curved track, kids can build up speed and power through the track. If they're beginners, they can take it slow and enjoy the rise and fall of its many speed bumps.

If you prefer team sports, make your way to the half basketball court for a friendly game. If you're too good at three-pointers, try shooting from the painted numbers on the ground. They're all at varying distances, so it'll prove to be a fun challenge.

Only a short walk away is the sports oval if you want to stretch your legs. It's the perfect space for a game of soccer, rugby or frisbee throwing. There are goal posts, too, if you need to practise your aim. Opposite the basketball court is a variety of outdoor fitness equipment for gym-goers. The equipment uses your body weight to strengthen your arms, legs and core. You're guaranteed to get your sweat on here! With the park's flat pathways, you can also get your running shoes on and go for a jog.

The park also has sheltered picnic tables, toilets and rubbish bins nearby.
