Kal-ma-kuta Drive Park

Visit Kal-ma-kuta Drive Park and experience water views over Pumicestone Passage in this peaceful area.

Make your day easy by using the dedicated car park, unpack all the gear you need to explore the park and keep everything else stowed away.

There's direct beach access where you can wade in the water on a hot day or set up a spot on the sand and enjoy watching the boats come and go.

For the little ones, there's a kids' playground where they can have endless fun. There are swings and slides, and benches close by for supervising parents and caregivers.

If you're a fisher, you can undock at the boat ramp nearby to spend a day on the water and see what fish bite.

When you're hungry, head back to the mainland and heat the electric barbecue for a hot lunch. There's plenty of seating throughout the park and rubbish bins too for when you're finished eating.

For history buffs, learn about the park's namesake, Kal-ma-kuta. She was an Undanbi woman who lived along the Pumicestone Passage and in her later life at Turners Camp. To learn more and pay your respects, you can visit her memorial cairn.
