Local Government Act 2009 and Local Government Regulation 2012

Pursuant to section 140 of the Regulation, Moreton Bay City Council has, by resolution dated 24 September 2025, decided to sell land for overdue rates or charges. Council hereby gives notice that Council intends to start procedures for selling the properties set out hereunder, and unless all overdue rates or charges, and interest accrued, are sooner paid, the said properties shall be sold by a public auction at the Strathpine Community Centre, Mecklem Street, Strathpine, commencing at 11:00 AM on Thursday, 26 February 2026.

Substituted Service

Council is giving a copy of the Notice of Intention to Sell by way of substituted service under Section 239 of the Local Government Act 2009 (Qld) because despite making reasonable enquiries and attempts to serve the notice on the owner, Council does not know, or is uncertain about, the owner's current address of the person named in each Notice of Intention to Sell.
