Creative workshop with Claudio Kirac
Next date: Friday, 16 January 2026 | 10:00 AM
to 11:30 AM
Claudio is being commissioned to create new artwork for City of Moreton Bay's Outdoor Gallery at Redcliffe Library.
Get ready to get creative and innovative as Claudio reminds us that there’s “no right way” to create.
Celebrate creativity as a form of joyful discovery and self-expression while exploring the art of collage.
Explore abstract shapes inspired by Moreton Bay’s natural environment.
Using coloured markers, reflective and coloured card and yarn, participants will create “shape stories” that reimagine the amazing creatures, plants, and places of Moreton Bay.
Each participant will take home their own mini artwork as a keepsake.
In this workshop, Claudio invites participants of all ages to enjoy the process of making art.
With consent, your creations will be photographed and later re-interpreted into the final artwork that Claudio is making for the Outdoor Gallery.
About the facilitator
Claudio Kirac is a contemporary artist based on Kombumerri lands of the Yugambeh Language Region, Gold Coast. He creates large-scale murals and digital artworks for public spaces.
Claudio’s art is full of colour, storytelling, and connection. His work combines bold colours, intuitive marks, and stories shaped by the people he collaborates with.
By exploring local stories, Claudio creates art with many layers of meaning. Each piece is closely tied to the communities that experience it.
