The North Lakes Community Centre is part of the 5-star environmentally friendly Corso Complex. This multi-purpose venue is conveniently located in the heart of North Lakes Town Centre and only a short walk to the North Lakes Bus Interchange. With an elevated position on Level 2, the community centre  consists of 5 separate rooms of various sizes. A large hall equipped with a full commercial kitchen, activity room, boardroom and two separate meeting rooms as well as a large communal terrace with tables and chairs,  this venue certainly fits the brief for most event organisers.

Main hall

The Main hall is part of the North Lakes Community Centre. This large hall is approximately 302 square metres, 24 metres long x 12.6 metres wide with a maximum capacity for 250 people.

There is ample underground parking which also includes accessible parking bays, and external shared parking  located at the centre and surrounding streets.  Please note that there are parking restrictions in place.

This venue is a "self-service" model which means the hirer is responsible for the setting up,  pack down and cleaning of the venue.

The facility is available for hire between the hours of 6:00 AM and 12:00 AM (midnight).

NOTE: To ensure the centre is available for community use and one off events, each hirer is permitted a maximum of six weekend bookings per financial year. A weekend booking is from 5:00 PM Friday through to midnight Sunday.

The Community Centre is accessible by wheelchair from the  underground car park via the lift, and the external shared parking which includes allocated disablility access parking bays. The internal toilets are also wheelchair accessible with a designated disabilty access toilet.

Please inspect the venue prior to booking to ensure the facility meets your accessibility requirements.

Regular hire is available at this facility. A regular hirer is an individual or organisation that has bookings on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.  Please note the following: 

  • booking requests are required at least one week prior to the requested hire date
  • a minimum of 2 hours' hire applies to all bookings 
  • bookings can be requested up to one year in advance
  • council may charge a refundable security bond to cover potential damage to the facility during hire.

  • Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight.
  • Equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day, or by arrangement with Hall Management.
  • Smoking is not permitted in, or within 5 metres of, Council venues, except for designated smoking areas.
  • The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machine is prohibited.
  • Decorative items such as glitter, rice, rose petals, sand or confetti is not permitted.
  • Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks.
  • Animals with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without Council approval.

Council provides prospective hirers with one inspection prior to booking. Inspections are conducted between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM business days subject to hall availability. To request an appointment, complete the venue inspection request
