Two bushfire hazard reduction burns are going to be conducted on Bribie Island on Wednesday, September 21, weather permitting.
The two sites are
Moreton Bay Regional Council is conducting the burns in conjunction with the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service, Department of Environment and Resource Management and SEQ Water.
Asthmatics and residents susceptible to respiratory illness are advised to stay indoors, keep the windows and doors closed and block air vents. Use a filtered air conditioner to circulate air and keep medications nearby.
Residents experiencing breathing difficulties during the burns should call the Queensland Ambulance Service on triple zero (000).
