Creative Workshop with Urban Forest Artists

Blue mono prints made from leaves.

Join Julie, Tania and Cecilia, three artists from the Urban Forest collective for a free creative workshop at Park Studio. Explore printmaking techniques to make your own mono printed tote bag.

Get inspired by nature! Gather foliage from the park or choose from a selection of pre-pressed flowers and leaves to create your design.

The artists will guide you to create your print using polystyrene blocks and acrylic paint. You will print your design onto a calico bag (provided to workshop participants). This hands-on experience encourages sensory connection, mindfulness, and relaxation.

After the workshop, once the print is dry, participants will need to iron the calico bag at home to set the textile medium.

What to bring:

  • sun-safe clothing
  • hats and sunscreen (workshop involves some outdoor time)
  • wear an apron or old clothes as you will be working with acrylic paint.
