One City, Many Cultures: Family events

Next date: Saturday, 07 March 2026 | 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Coloured wooden figures are lined up in a row on a table.

Moreton Bay is proudly home to a rich tapestry of cultures and languages. One in five residents were born overseas, and more than a third have a parent born abroad.

At these vibrant sessions, families will experience a mix of different traditions.

Through a range of activities, we will create, learn and connect. Expect crafting, art, music, and more!

Each Saturday, we’ll explore a new cultural or geographical concept in a welcoming environment:

  • Workshop 1: India
  • Workshop 2: Pasifika
  • Workshop 3: Nowruz (Persian/Iranian New Year)

Join us for this exciting series and experience the beauty of global traditions right here in Moreton Bay.

Together, we’ll embrace the richness of our community and the many stories that make it unique.
