Creative workshop with a mural artist: North Lakes

A brand-new mural is coming to Blatchford Sporting and Recreation Reserve in 2026.

As part of City of Moreton Bay's Art At Large program, this exciting project will brighten a section of footpath in the reserve.

Before the painting begins, the mural artist, Oscar Galeano, is hosting a free creative workshop, and everyone's welcome to join in.

Oscar is a Calligraffiti artist based in Moreton Bay. His work blends modern street art with classical calligraphy, creating immersive 3D visuals through shadow, depth, and a refined colour palette.

At the workshop, you'll meet Oscar, learn about his work, and discover how murals come to life. You'll also have the opportunity to take part in a fun, hands-on art activity.

This is a great chance to share your own stories, memories, and ideas about Blatchford Reserve. What do you love most about this space? What makes it special to you and your community? Your input can help create an artwork that reflects the local spirit.

No art experience required, so come along, get creative, and be part of something meaningful.
