Something colourful is coming to Ferny Hills Aquatic Centre, and you’re invited to help shape it!

In 2026, the centre will receive a brand-new mural through City of Moreton Bay’s Art At Large program.

Before the mural is created, the chosen artist, Sally Molloy, is running a free creative workshop, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

Sally Molloy is an experienced muralist and painter who holds a PHD from the Queensland College of Art and Design, where she currently teaches.

This is your chance to meet Sally, learn how large-scale murals are created, and take part in a hands-on art activity. You’ll also get to share your own memories, stories, and ideas about the aquatic centre, what it means to you, and why it matters to the community.

Whether you swim there every week or haven't visited for years, this is a great way to be part of something creative and community-driven. No art experience needed, just come along and get involved!

Light refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome, so bring a friend, the family, or come solo.
