Join us for exciting walk and talks planned at CREEC to celebrate International Day of Women and Girls in Science!

These 2 sessions will be on the unique animals known as monotremes. Each session will be guided by a specialist in conservation sciences.

The first session will be with Dr Tamille Brunt, who will give a talk about her research on platypuses through eDNA.

Dr Brunt has been working with platypuses for over a decade. She continues to work on the conservation of these unique creatures.

Our second walk and talk will be with echidna expert Dr Kate Dutton-Regestar from Echidna Watch.

Dr Dutton-Regestar's work spans many areas. Including the identification of diggings, habitat analysis, and the impacts of other species like fire ants.

There is no guarantee of platypus or echidna sightings during the event.

Both sessions will be full of information about these important creatures and how they fit into the vast Australian Wildlife.

Tickets are per session. If you would like to attend both, please book for each session separately.
