Council unveiled its vision to improve the accessibility and inclusiveness of council infrastructure and services across the region, with the adoption of the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2018-2022.

The development of this plan would not have been possible without the valuable feedback provided by more than 200 people, including people with disabilities and carers, who took part in our community consultation activities.

Based on the feedback received, the plan outlines what actions council needs to consider to improve accessibility and inclusiveness under five priority areas: pedestrian mobility, parking and transport, buildings and facilities, parks and open spaces, event and programs; and council services.
