Emergency Alert
Do not block +61 444 444 444. This number is related to the Emergency Alert service. If the call ID number or message header on your phone displays this number, it is genuine.
Emergency Alert is the national telephone warning system used by emergency services to send voice messages to landlines and text messages to mobile phones within a defined area about potential emergencies.
Do not wait for an official warning. You should always be aware of what is happening in your area, as you could find yourself suddenly in danger. It is important that you do not rely solely on receiving an official message. Act decisively the moment you know there is danger.
Call Triple Zero (000) or dial TTY 106 if you are in critical need of emergency services (police, fire or ambulance).
