Social, affordable and crisis housing leasing

Council is seeking expressions of interest to develop, maintain and manage leased sites for the purpose of crisis, social and affordable housing. A 50-year exclusive use peppercorn lease arrangement will be awarded to the preferred respondent/s, in accordance with the Community Leasing Policy (Policy # 2150-079). Longer tenure terms may be considered for social, affordable and crisis housing land leases where essential to the viability of the project.

Council is offering the following lots for long-term lease:

  • 72-74 Cox Street, Caboolture
  • 33 Oakey Flat Road, Morayfield.

These sites are zoned for general residential use within Council’s planning scheme.

Respondents may bid for one or both of the sites.

Who can apply

Registered not-for-profit community housing providers or specialist homelessness service providers can apply. They must have the capacity to develop, maintain and manage leased sites for the purpose of social, affordable and crisis housing.
