World Rivers Day at Osprey House
Step into nature this World Rivers Day and discover how you can protect the rivers that sustain life. This free event at Osprey House is your chance to connect with local experts, explore the Pine Rivers Catchment, and be inspired to act.
Rivers are the lifeblood of our planet. They carry stories, support wildlife, and provide us with fresh water. Our rivers face growing pressure, both here and across the world. The Pine Rivers Catchment is no exception. At this workshop, you'll hear from Dan Pagotto, Operations Manager at Pine Rivers Catchment Association. Dan has worked on projects that bring people together to restore and care for waterways. His talk will show you how every person can play a role in conservation.
After the talk, follow the boardwalks out into the catchment. Take in the sights and sounds of the wetlands as you walk over the water. Along the way, Bob Crudgington, from Redcliffe Environment Forum and EnviroEd, will share stories of the river and its wildlife. Hear about the challenges our waterways face and discover what's being done to protect them.
This workshop is designed for adults who want to deepen their understanding of rivers and the role we play in their care. Come along, celebrate World Rivers Day, and leave with fresh ideas to help protect these vital life sources.
