Creative workshop with artist Martin Edge
Next date: Tuesday, 20 January 2026 | 10:00 AM
to 11:30 AM
Martin is being commissioned to create new artwork for City of Moreton Bay’s Outdoor Gallery at Caboolture Town Square.
Meet Martin Edge, a local artist who creates artwork about his everyday life. Through his art, we learn about Martin’s daily rituals that may be mundane, his whimsical (and at times imagined) adventures, and the monumental places and moments.
At this workshop, ‘My day in Moreton Bay’, Martin invites participants to learn about his art practice with a spotlight on his connection to and artwork from the city.
Following this, participants will reflect and identify their own ‘day in Moreton Bay’ – one that is fantastical and one that is mundane. Participants will then transform these reflections into drawings.
About the facilitator
Martin Edge is a celebrated painter who has been working as a professional artist for the past 15 years. “I paint myself all the time. I like to paint myself at different ages and different stages to show how I am changing and to also show people how I see myself.”
Exhibiting consistently since 2008, Martin has earned national and international recognition. Besides his art practice, Martin is a proud ambassador for Autism Queensland.
