City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Council's customer service centres will be closed from 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 December, reopening on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 8:30 AM.
Government Street Sports Ground is a sport and recreation facility that is home to the Moreton Bay Raiders Rugby League Club.
This community organisation holds a Council lease and sports field permit over facilities on-site. For bookings and event enquiries, refer to Events in public spaces.
Located in Deception Bay, the grounds provide sheltered seating for spectators. Everyone is welcome to come and watch a game of rugby and cheer on their favourite player. Follow the club on social media to stay up to date with game times.
