City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Council's customer service centres will be closed from 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 December, reopening on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 8:30 AM.
Alan Cash Park is a sport and recreation facility that is home to Samford and District Rugby League Football Club.
This organisation holds Council leases and sports field permits over facilities on-site. For bookings, refer to Events in public spaces.
The park also offers public facilities for visitors to enjoy. Families can use the play equipment, while sheltered seating areas provide a great spot to relax or enjoy a picnic.
