City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Council's customer service centres will be closed from 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 December, reopening on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 8:30 AM.
Rothwell Park is a sport and recreation facility that is home to an array of community organisations.
These community organisations hold Council leases and sports field permits over facilities on-site. For bookings and event enquiries, refer to Events in public spaces.
For children, there's a kids' playground with a slide and swing set they can enjoy while parents can supervise from the sheltered seating. When you're hungry, heat up the electric barbecues for a hot lunch.
