City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Council's customer service centres will be closed from 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 December, reopening on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 8:30 AM.
Rob Akers Reserve is a sport and recreation facility that is home to an array of community organisations.
These organisations hold Council leases and sports field permits over facilities on-site. For bookings and event enquiries, refer to Events in public spaces.
This local park offers a mix of sport, play and open space for the community to enjoy. Watch a local game, build skills in the cricket nets or make use of the skate park and fitness equipment.
There's also a dog exercise area and play equipment for younger visitors. Sheltered seating is available, making it a comfortable spot to relax or take a break.
