City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Council's customer service centres will be closed from 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 December, reopening on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 8:30 AM.
Wet cell batteries as found in various vehicles such as cars, motorcycles and boats.
Disposal is limited to domestic quantities.
