City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Council's customer service centres will be closed from 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 December, reopening on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 8:30 AM.
Norfolk Lakes Park in Narangba has a mixture of natural spaces and manicured gardens, with paths trailing the large billabong. Park seating overlooks the water where you can watch wildlife at a safe distance.
You can bring a packed lunch and picnic blanket or use the sheltered tables and barbecue facilities.
For kids, there is play equipment and tonnes of space for them to run around.
