City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Council's customer service centres will be closed from 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 December, reopening on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 8:30 AM.
Confirms Council’s commitment to legal compliance and best practice with respect to the resumption of land process and Council’s preference that acquisition of the land be by agreement wherever possible.
