City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Council's customer service centres will be closed from 12:00 PM on Wednesday, 24 December, reopening on Monday, 5 January 2026 at 8:30 AM.
The objective of this policy is to provide a framework for the provision and management of tenure over Council controlled land and infrastructure to community organisations that deliver community, cultural, sporting or environmental services to residents.
