Local government is responsible for ensuring effective and coordinated disaster management arrangements within its boundaries. Council, through the Local Disaster Management Group, has developed the Local Disaster Management Plan to address all phases of disaster management, including:

prevention
preparedness
response
recovery.

Disaster Recovery Sub-Plan

Successful recovery after a disaster is essential to ensure the welfare of everyone in our community. Council, through the Local Disaster Management Group has developed the Disaster Recovery Sub-Plan to provide a framework for the management and coordination of recovery as well as guidance on the major considerations for recovery.
