Council provides the following environmental grants:

Our healthy environments grant

The Our Healthy Environment Grant supports not-for-profit groups working with the community. These groups protect and enhance the environment and native wildlife.

What funding is available

The grant provides funding of up to $50,000 to support community groups to:

  • facilitate urban greening
  • connect, protect and enhance ecological linkages and wildlife habitats
  • sustain conservation-significant species across the landscape
  • improve catchment health
  • support Traditional Custodian organisations to maintain and enhance biodiversity through traditional knowledge and practices
  • build community knowledge, awareness and capacity, and improve biodiversity data
  • address biodiversity knowledge gaps.

Engagement Sessions

To help you prepare your application, Council hosts engagement sessions. During these sessions, our technical experts discuss projects and answer your questions.

Engagement Sessions will be held at:

  • Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre | 30 January 2026 - 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Kumbartcho Environment Centre | 27 February 2026 - 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. 

How to apply

The Our Healthy Environment Grant opens annually on 1 December.

The first column lists the closing date, the second column lists the notification of outcome period and the third column lists the project start date.

Closing date  Notification of outcome Project start date 
31 March 2026 Approximately 6 weeks after the closing date. 1 June 2026

Projects must commence on or after the project start date and must be completed within 12 months of this date.

You must discuss your proposal with Council. This will allow you to get initial feedback on whether your proposal is eligible and receive important documents required for your application.

Successful applicants from previous grant rounds

Voluntary conservation grant

Voluntary conservation grants are available for members of Council’s Voluntary Conservation Programs. This includes Voluntary Conservation Agreements, Land for Wildlife, and Backyards for Wildlife. The grants assist landholders in completing environmental projects on their properties. These projects aim to protect and enhance native vegetation and wildlife habitat.

What funding is available

Grants are available up to a maximum of:

  • $2,500 per Voluntary Conservation Agreement property
  • $1,250 for a Land for Wildlife
  • $500 for Backyards for Wildlife.
