Coloured sand recall

City of Moreton Bay has taken immediate steps in response to the national recall of certain coloured sand products. Designated Council waste facilities are managing the disposal of the recalled sand products.

Lawnton Cemetery

Monumental section

Established in the 1880s and is located in the heart of suburbia on Norfolk Avenue. Visitors to the cemetery will notice monuments to many local pioneering families. No space is available for new graves, but the cemetery remains open for re-openings.

Re-openings of existing lawn and monumental graves only
Ashes placements in columbarium wall, corian columbarium wall and existing grave sites

Visiting hours

Monday to Sunday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Onsite meetings by appointment only. Contact Council to organise.
