Miigaay & Miinga Exhibition

29 Oct 2025 - 23 Nov 2025

Image of artworks by Lauren Rodgers and Sue Mitchell

Entitled ‘Miigaay & Miinga’ — meaning daughter and mother/grandmother — this exhibition explores our shared connection to Country, family, and ancestry through our respective practices. Together, we weave stories that speak to the strength of kinship, the wisdom of our Elders, and the beauty of the natural world. Through painting, ceramics, and weaving, the works reflect on themes of nurturing, memory, and care for Country.

An entrancing exhibition by Lauren Rodgers and Sue Mitchell - Lauren Rogers is a proud Ngarabul woman, with Scottish, Irish, and English ancestry. Sue Mitchell, a multidisciplinary artist working across ceramics, painting, and weaving is also a proud Ngarabul woman.

Come to the ‘Miigaay & Miinga’ Official Opening at 1pm on Saturday 1 November, or see the exhibition between 10am and 3pm from Wednesday to Sunday until 23 November.

Entry is free. Treat yourself by visiting the gallery shop as well.
