Woodford Hall

The Woodford Memorial Hall is located in the heart of the Woodford township. It is close to shops and cafes and next door to the Woodford Library and Museum.

The venue includes an upper level hall and supper room which can be hired separately or together and a lower level meeting room.

Main hall

The hall is 14.5 metres x 22 metres with a 5.8 metre x 10 metre stage.

The venue is a self-service model: all hirers are responsible for set-up/pack-down and cleaning of the venue before the conclusion of the hire.

Capacity

The hall has a capacity of 250 people.

Accessibility

Woodford Memorial Hall has an accessible entry at the front door with under cover drop off area.

Additional parking is at the rear with designated accessible parking bays and ramp access to the front door.

The internal amenities off the foyer include an accessible toilet.

Woodford Memorial Hall is managed by the Woodford Memorial Community Centre Association Inc. on behalf of Council.

Fees and charges

Hourly and daily rates are available with discounts for not-for-profit organisations.

Casual rates start at $32.00 per hour, $17.50 per hour for not-for-profit and $320.00 per day.

Full upper level casual fees start at $45.00 per hour and includes hall, supper room, kitchen and bar.

Some events and high-risk activities, i.e. parties where alcohol is served, will require payment of a refundable bond. In some instances, security may also be required as a condition of the booking and will be determined by hall management.

Restrictions

  • Hirers are not permitted to sleep in the venue overnight.
  • Equipment may be left in the venue if the hirer has a booking for the following day, or by arrangement with Hall Management.
  • Smoking is not permitted in, or within 5 metres of, Council venues, except for designated smoking areas.
  • The use of open flames including but not limited to candles, lanterns or smoke machine is prohibited.
  • Decorative items such as glitter, rice, rose petals, sand or confetti is not permitted.
  • Decorations must not be affixed in any way that may cause damage; this includes, but is not limited to sticky tape, pins or tacks.
  • Animals with the exception of assistance animals, are not permitted in council venues without Council approval.

Venue Inspections

Hall Management provide prospective hirers the opportunity to view the hall prior to booking. Inspections are by appointment only and depend upon the availability of the venue.
