Pet education

Family under blue blanket with dog and cat

Pets are a wonderful addition to any family, however, it is important to understand your responsibilities. Being a responsible pet owner is much more than providing adequate water, food and shelter for your pet.

Responsible pet ownership is ensuring your pet is microchipped, registered, kept within your premises and not creating a nuisance in the community such as roaming or barking.

Our proactive programs help to educate the community through engagement and information sessions.

Pets in Public Spaces education program

The program aims to provide pet owners with valuable information and resources on being a responsible pet owner.

The program will:

  • promote responsible pet ownership in a pet friendly setting
  • provide pet owners with an understanding of their obligations and responsibilities.

Free microchipping will be available to registered dogs within the Moreton Bay region when attending a Pets in Public Spaces event.
