Get ready to spread your wings this Migratory Bird Day at Osprey House! We’re teaming up with Birds Queensland for a feather-filled adventure that’s perfect for families, nature lovers, and anyone curious about our local wildlife in Moreton Bay.

Kick things off with a short and engaging talk where you’ll learn all about the incredible bird species that call Moreton Bay home. You’ll also pick up handy tips to help sharpen your bird spotting and identification skills. Learn who’s who, from the cheeky magpie to the elegant osprey, and discover how to spot them like a pro. With these new skills, you’ll be ready to take part in the national Aussie Backyard Bird Count later this year!

Then, it’s time to hit the boardwalks. Grab your binoculars or camera and join us as we head out to see who’s swooping, soaring, or perching nearby. With the mangroves and waterways as our stage, there’s no telling which feathered friends might swoop in to say hello.

Local bird enthusiast Andy Sides will be your go-to guide for all those birdy questions. He’s full of stories, facts, and tips to make your birdwatching even more exciting. Whether you’re a beginner or a keen bird watcher, this is your chance to learn, explore, and have fun.

So come along, discover the joy of birdwatching, and celebrate the birds that make
our environment so special!
