Voluntary Conservation Program grants

Grants are available for members of Council’s Voluntary Conservation Programs including both Voluntary Conservation Agreements and Land for Wildlife. The grants assist landholders to complete environmental projects on their properties which aim to protect and enhance native vegetation and wildlife habitat.

All applicants are strongly encouraged to read the Voluntary Conservation Program Grant Guidelines, Terms and Conditions [PDF 345KB] to determine their eligibility and for further information about the grant application.

When can I apply?

The 2018 grant round will open at 9.00am Saturday, 1 September 2018 and close at midnight Monday, 1 October 2018.

Projects must be completed and acquittal documentation submitted online by midnight Sunday 2 June 2019. Any applicants from previous grant rounds that have provided late acquittals without reasonable notice or information may not be considered for future applications.

How much can I apply for?

Individual grants are available up to a maximum of:

  • $2,500 per Voluntary Conservation Agreement property
  • $750 for a Land for Wildlife
  • $500 for Backyards for Wildlife

How to apply

Applications must be completed using the online grant application service and submitted with all relevant attachments including a map, photos and any other supporting information. Applications open 1 September 2018.

Grant acquittals

All successful applicants from the 2018 grant round are to submit their grant acquittals online by Sunday, 2 June 2019.
