Want to feel more relaxed, playful and have more fun onstage? This workshop is for you!

Join award-winning comedian Jenny Wynter at North Lakes Community Centre for this fun improvisation workshop. Jenny is a cabaret performer and writer who credits everything good she does onstage (and off) to her passion for improvisation.

Improvisation is so much more than just what you may have seen on "Whose Line is it Anyway?" and "Thank God You're Here!". It is a powerful, fun and 100 percent learnable skill. It can help you find more playfulness, confidence and connection with others, both onstage and off!

Who should attend

• Aspiring, emerging or established performers aged 16 years and older.

What to expect

In this fun and interactive workshop you will:

  • Practice the fundamentals of improvisation: saying yes to ideas, supporting others and making mistakes happily.
  • Learn techniques to find more relaxation, joy and spontaneity onstage.
  • Create fun and entertaining moments on the spot, culminating in an onstage performance that same night, in front of a cheer-leading crowd!

Most importantly, this workshop is designed to be incredibly supportive, with all judgement of ourselves and each other left at the door.

Oh, and you will laugh. A lot!
